With this being my first year attending WaterFest I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect, especially with the show being a mere 30 minutes from the Jersey shore. We didn’t let that stop us however, we loaded into Alan’s rabbit and hit the road for what was quite possibly the bumpiest ride through five states I’ve ever had…

We arrived rather early on Sunday so we decided it would be best to stroll the vendor area until the show lot filled up. I must say, WaterFest had the most impressive vendor area I have seen in a while, it seemed to go on forever! We ended up having to revisit throughout the day to make sure we got everything covered. The show area filled up rather quickly it seemed so we began walking through there just as it was starting to really heat up. There were many great examples from each generation on hand, some of my favorites are pictured below, and the field layout was well planned. We did a walk through the V.I.P. Parking lot and found some fine examples of VW metal as well. Aside from all of the vendors and parked cars they hosted drag racing, auto-cross, and a burnout competition to further entertain the 21,000+ attendees. All in all, besides the harsh sunburn I fell victim to, WaterFest was a great time and it will be on my schedule for next year. Now enjoy some pictures!
